holy shit. words cannot even begin to describe this awesome video. the one question that i have does not concern the break dancing cops or the pop n' lock lil' dude, but is instead directed towards the actual dr. beat. What the fuck is this dude wearing??? anyway here is mylo's "dr. pressure"
This video, although it's campy, is alot of fun. The video has themes of the occult, voodoo, and a delightfully charming front man. Hey, don't let my words tarnish this endearing video. The song is the first track on "High Land Hard Rain" Also, I will be in Chicago on a networking excursion. If you wanna discuss anything, my associates and I would enjoy making your acquaintence.
For all intents and purposes, lets say I did not adequately get my point across last time about LD Section II.... and yes there is a line you can cross
Who does not like art collectives? Find these poor souls so that I may feast on their useless rotting organs. Having said that, I now turn your attention to a "hot" new art collective simply known as Lansing-Dreiden. Whats so great about them you ask??? Well I shall enlighten you. First! They are all artists as you all most likely are (just admit that you are to yourself for all intensive puposes). Their art is rather elegant, classy even. Don't listen to me, find out for yourself at Lansing-Dreiden's official website. Secondly they combine all of my favorite genres of music to form a rather charming almagamation of a uniquely signature style ( the singing is amazing). Thus here is the video from their 2003 release "Incomplete Triangle" This song is entitled Glass Corridor
When I found out that Youtube.com videos could be viewed in livejournal, I thought of regularly updating the journal with music videos. This entry shall be the first of many to include videos hand picked by yours truly. The theme of this post deals with performance to which I will include this rather elaborate Duran Duran performance of "The Chauffeur"
i see no distinction between art and commerce from the master works by all those european folks to the effigies of tribal existence. this man, jeff koons, seems to be one of the few artists that i can associate with . this is one of his newer works entitled,"Gate" made in 2002. this work delivers what it promises... a gate and i like that. meets my expectations and in someways exceeds them. great job jeff!!!! LOL
i caught up with mr. koons and asked him some questions concerning this work.
me: what is so alluring about gates? JK:....... me: did you paint these? JK: no, a team of painters (men age 18-24) painted them, but i designed them me:neato, could i work for you...you see, I am exactly 22 years of age... AND I WORSHIP YOU!!! JK:....... -END SCENE-
another fine specimen....
this work is entitled "Hot Dog" was also made in 2002. perhaps there was an error in the namin' process. Ham sandwich would make more sense. i wanted to ask Koons about this, but the last interview left m.e hangin' a lil bit there. I find my self more or less turned on by these paintings, yet i am unable to pinpoint the exact reason behind it.
I am going to admit that I have been reading the Bible...uhhh, I mean the Da Vinci Code. Its infectious and I was looking for something to read and it was there. Now, I am not saying that Jesus...uhhh, I mean Dan Brown is a good writer ( he is actually one of the worst writers in the universe). But his uncanny ability to leave a dude hanging leaves the reader wanting to know more and Jesus ... I mean, Dan Brown seems to be very knowledgeable about artistic lore. according to him everything you know about art relates to some coincidence to which the purposeful intent of the artist is pure genius. ANYWAYS. This is my last week here and honestly, I cannot wait to get back because I miss my homies ( eventhough they gone away). Another reason I cannot wait to get back is because Italian women are unbearably attractive, and its made me realize that I am nothing : I have never felt so unattractive in my life. Our Savior, Dan Brown, would attribute this disparity to the centuries in which the sacred feminine was oppressed. Needless to say I need out, also I miss the subtleties of midwest life Free Refills Frisco Melts French Fries and good beer. but here is an update. My camera broke, then my ipod broke ( which i am still in the state of denial), prior to my arrival here my Playstation 2 broke, and my computer broke. This leaves my wristwatch as my only functioning electronic appliance. In some ways this is the worst vacation thatI have been on. but in countless other ways this has been one of the most interesting vacations I have been. The Italian culture is very intriguing and has made me respect my humble Indian American upbringing. I also saw alot of monumental shit. The David was jaw-dropping, florence is beautiful, verona was sweet and peaceful, and the surrounding Islands charm rivals the tourist-trap that is Venice. So, i f you wanna feel poor, unattractive and crowded then Venice on a saturday afternoon is for you. But search hard for the beauty, because Scola San Rocco ( Tintoretto's paintings) , Frari Chapel (Titians lair), and the amazing pizza is what i will selectively remember this place for and shall try to forget the negatives of the city, because my mind shall only reserve good memories for people places and things that i have encountered throughout the city. CIAO!
I spent my weekend in Florence. Not a bad city at all. In fact, I am sort of jealous of the people in the program. These punks literally have ten times more people that the one that I am currently enrolled. I also watched a television, which I have been without for weeks. Apart from that I mostly hung with the Florence crew sans Nikki ( she was with her mom) to which Conner " four inches of pain" McShane was primarily responsible for my activities, thus showed me a good time. After that nights walk of shame, we rocked out to some Duran Duran( at the bar) whilst getting down on some calizones. Italian bread is something else uh ha!! which reminds me tha HEY House, Heather, Sean, Eric, Dan, Blake, and etc. SEND ME A SHOUT! via vishnu.boray@gmail.com ... we can conversate over the period of the next couple weeks. I will hit you up with some crazy tales not literally, though. however, whence upon I return I will find crazy tailed animals and proceed to beat you senseless with their bloody tails. FYI I have gone insane. I keep thinking that I will be mostly machine by the time that I reach my late 40's . This will most likely scare my kids, but they will learn to deal with it. Also I have been thinking of various ways that " word up" and other slang terms could be implemented in European venacular! any ways guess the expression that I have on my face in this picture.
still chillin up in Venice still making papers and books still maintainin'
First week was alright. I drank at a moderate pace...except on thursday, when my fascination on the mammary glands for the fiancè of this beligerent englishman entitled me to many many many free drinks; If this were America, I would just get the shit kicked out of me. The next day, I felt the pain as I had the mostwicked hangover in ze universe. shit happens! Giotto's frescos as a result appear not so amazing, EXCEPT his depiction of HELL, which was rather moving if I may say so( there was this dude coming out of the devil's pee hole , which leads me to believe that Giotto was channeling the inspiring thought process of beavis and butthead). Please don't dog on Beavis and Butthead, unless you want your head knocked in, on that note lay off Entourage becasue ye shall recieve the same punishment. ANYWAYS I have yet to see any Carrvaggio's, but when I hit up Rome or maybe Florence, I might see some. C- Vag ( as I call him) was an ill playboy, who was in his 20's when he painted all those lovely paintings. Also, now I am contemplating on whether I should check out Morrissey and Depeche Mode in Milan... its is around €30 to check that out not including the train ticket, and I was kinda pissed that ruled Amsterdam out of the question ( no ass .... uh I mean drugs for me). Which pisses me off is that Connor "Four inches of pain" McShane could not rendenez vous this weekend, but I will kick it with him and Nikki next weekend .... or anyone else from IUB. Also this week I will have a massive picture updates... mainly this sweet ass graph work i saw in Mestre and some hot Gondola on Gondola action XXX ALSO I TAKE REQUESTS.... PEACE!!!!!!!
yo yo yo yo yo yo London was mad as far as fashion and people go. Zurich managed to entertain me whilst I releaved myself ( They played " Look of Love" by ABC over the intercom, which was rather smooth of them.) and Venice is a tourist enclave with relentless old Italian fashionable men and women alike. Never have I seen so many Italian women in white pants ( Rather Frustrating!!!) but thankfully I have the patience of a saint... Later I shall post some more pics, but for now I will leave you with an expression of power, which I felt was necessary in this long, dark , hallway. Later I will touch over the Tate Modern as well as my homie, Jack Barnes and the European Boray connection but for now you all should stayed tuned via my new flickr site!!!! found at www.flickr.com/VishnuBoray.html and www.jackbarnes.co.uk
I like this one I dont think I am a busy body though and I listening to Orange Juice's hit album "You Can't Hide Your Love Away Forever" I makes my pants wet (teehee)
who would have thought that the story of keny loggin's life could be so captivating within a five minute short? but some people like it smooth (including myself). I am not trying to shit on anyone when i say that smooth music and just being smooth makes the journey through the vessel, which i call my body, so worth-while. smoothness helps the body relax and the Style Council with their high fashion and sultry jams allow me to reach a placid baby-like state. Thus i am a victim of yatch rock and i shall wear my white pants with pride. I would like to a victim of love, but i have built a wall that does not to be made any higher (sorry Vince). My melting modernity does nothing to disprove my association with the blank generation. and so i say good bye much if any love to all from the "..." generation.
